Visited Luthier Music Corp Today

Was up in NYC today and I picked up hafe a dozen sets of Luthier Set 30’s for bass strings and Titanium trebles. I also picked up a Barcus-Berry True Expression “The Outsider” Piezo Guitar Transducer to try on the DeVoe for large performances. I also picked up a Paco De Lucia cd con Ramon de Algeciras. played a few guitars as well, DeVoe 1964 and a Perice 2009. Oh I picked up the wifes Christmas presents as well. Nice day in NYC.

I have a great friend who had a rough week and I composed this to try to help them relaxed yet have some snow and Christmas feel to it.  Let me know what you think.  I played on all the parts in the new studio.  The Black Lion Signature  Modification on the 002 is working great with Pro Tools 8.

I love reverb,  I saw this for 15.oo and thought cant hurt to try it out.  If you go to audioMidi.com you can order this for 15.00 its a plug in that works on RTAS and VST and AU.  You can use it with an iLok or with out.

Fix iWeb in 10.6.2 The million dollar Trick

This works great

Here’s how to fix the “iWeb quit unexpectedly while using the SFWordProcessing plug-in” error.

This is called “The million dollar trick or how to fix iWeb in 10.6.2″ since a lot of people struggled with it since the 10.6.2 release. With no real solution. Simply deactivating Hoefler Text as suggested on the ADFs doesn’t really solve it. Now here you are…

1. Go to Applications => Font book
2. Select Hoefler => Ctrl+click on it and “Remove Hoefler Text Family”
3. A message will appear telling you that all Hoefler files will be trashed
4. Emptying trash you will probably be told that the file is in use. Restart your computer and after the restart empty the trash.
5. Click here to download Hoefler text
6. You will find a folder called “11628″. In it you find a file called “Hoefler Text.dfont”
7. Move that file to:
Macintosh HD => Library => Fonts

Start iWeb and you will see that it’s perfectly working.

Studio & Broadcast Sound Best New Studio Product Avid Digidesign for Pro Tools 8

Having tried and owning a few of  the other DAW (Digital Audio Workstations) software packages for recording Logic v6-9 and Cake Walk, Digital Performer, and Garage Band and a few others I think personally IMHO that Pro Tools 8 is just the best so far.  Very easy to use, sounds great and captures audio very well.  I cant really ever see going back to Logic.  For me the Logical choice is Pro Tools 8.  Im glad to see that they won the Audio Pro Industry Excellence Award 09.
