Cordoba F7, Fishman, & Roland Tonight’s Rig

Tonight’s rig was the Cordoba F7 with Fishman Illipse Matrix Blend, Platinum Pro EQ, Aura Nylon Bank # 16, and Roland BA 330. System sounded excellent.

Cordoba F7 Guitar Ready to Gig

The Cordoba F7 Flamenco guitar is all set and ready to gig this week. It has been equipped with the excellent Fishman Ellipse Matrix Blend 3/32 Narrow pickup. DAddario EJ45C bass strings and T2 Titanium medium treble strings. I will run the line out from the guitar to the Fishman Aura Nylon or the Aura 16 or Spectrum. Then to the Roland BA 330 or the Carvin PA.

DAddario Flamenco Strings

Looking forward to the new DAddario Flamenco Strings in
clear, they are offering the treble strings in clear or black
nylon. strings by mail will be offering them 1.10.11

Hears my update: 2.12.11

I put on the bass strings from the DAddario Pro Arte Composite Flamenco string on my DeVoe Blanca replacing DAddario EJ45C strings. From what I can see they are slightly wider than the EJ45C and for about an hour while they were settling in there was a slight buzz at the nut, however it did go away within the hour.

DAddario EJ25C 6th String 1.118mm. VS EJ45C 6th String 1.112mm
5th String 0.864mm. VS EJ45C 5th String 0.89mm
4th String 0.737mm. VS EJ45C 4th String 0.71mm
3rd String 1.041mm. VS EJ45C 4th String 1.024mm (Coffee)
2nd String 0.831mm. VS EJ45C 2nd String 0.818
1st String 0.724mm. VS EJ45C 1st String 0.711

I have not put trebles on yet but will follow up with an update later. My first impression of the strings are favorable. There is a nice brightness which I’m used to from DAddario they settled in very quickly and were easy to tune and strings seem very even and no high or low spots which might cause buzzing. The strings stay in tune and have excel ant tone.

Update on Treble Strings: I just put them on and they feel great and have a warm mellow tone yet when pushed just a bit you can get that bright flamenco tone. I think DAddario did an excellent job on these strings. The trebles are very smooth on the finger tips as well. I will let them settle in for a few hours and write an update after a day or two.

They did take about a day to settle in and then wow they sound great and the trebles in my opinion feel better than the trebles in the EJ45C set or the T2 Trebles.  The sound is just amazing as well they really bring out the character of your guitar.  For me that make my DeVoe sound very Andulican Flamenco which I like.  The Bass strings are stable and produce a loud clear instant tone and the trebles are the best I have played.

I have been using
the EJ45C for a few years and always come back to them.  I think I found my new favorite strings.  I will post again in two weeks on a update for the strings.

Orded my free D”Addario Player Points Gear today

Ordered a D”Addario Players Points Stool and a Pint Glass. The Stool was 120 pts and the glas 20 pts. When you buy a pack of strings from D’Addario you get 3-5pts per pack of strings.

New Strings Hannabach Goldin & DAddaro EJ45c & T2

I tried new Hanbabach Goldin strings
on the DeVoe they felt ok but there were to bright for my liking. I had Luithier Supriem and their Titanium string on eirlier. I did not like that they feel apart on bass strings within two weeks. I decided to go back to the DAddaro EJ45c and T2 Titanium strings
